Ergonomic mouse

A mouse designed to fit the hand comfortably.

Introduction

This mouse uses human ergonomics to create a form that fits the hand comfortably.

This project was inspired by the DreamWorks film, How to Train Your Dragon. Not only did the movie have a creative concept and storyline, but I was also fascinated by the different dragons in the film. This design was inspired by Toothless, the Night Fury dragon.

The final form was determined through concept sketches. I used a clay model to finalize proportions and dimensions, and finally modeled the mouse in SolidWorks.

Clay Model

I used a clay model to find a form that fit the hand grip. Through using clay, I was able to quickly create and change the model to find the most comfortable way to hold the mouse.
